Dallas-Fort Worth is home to former presidents, businessmen, gunsmiths, actors and musicians.
They find – or direct someone to build – some of the most popular buildings in the country. Here are the 10 most expensive D-FW homes on the market as of Nov. 25.
To make the list, these properties must be within a 12-city metro area and serve as a residence.
1. 10777 Strait Lane, Dallas (asking price: $40 million)
Dubbed ‘The White House of Dallas’, this northwest Dallas home is currently the most expensive D-FW home on the market.
The Palladian neoclassical building, built in 1996, was designed by Dallas architect Robbie Fusch. French limestone, imported marble and hardwood floors reach 14-foot ceilings on both floors. An 18th-century Louis XV marble fireplace is the centerpiece of the blue drawing room.
The upstairs theater is inspired by a Paris opera house and can seat 22 of your best friends.
The building was listed in 2017 for $11 million. Dallas businessman, billionaire and political donor Toby Neugebauer bought it in 2018 for a price that was revealed the following year. Dallas Morning News previously reported.
It is one of the most popular houses on the market this year.
The Crespi Estate is the only Dallas-area home with a higher asking price — $47 million. Listings for the home were quietly removed in September without selling.
2. 1469 Sunshine Lane, Southlake (asking price: $27.5 million)

This 31,234-square-foot home is a music producer’s dream.
The building’s soundproofed music room was part of a renovation earlier this year.The room was designed for Dolby Atmos 3D audio, and rep Michael Hershenberg previously said News and it is almost identical.
He said: “You can hear things that you would not have heard before.
The basement is a real confusion for the actor. There is a full gym on the floor with a court suitable for basketball, volleyball or pickleball. Next to the entrance to the studio is a soccer field. There is also an indoor shower room and an open bar door.
There are two pools in the backyard, one of which is a nearly 30-foot plunge pool with long water slides and diving boards.
The backyard was made of grass during Super Bowl LI at NRG Stadium in Houston, and the house can fit 12 to 13 covered cars if you’re a big collector.
3. 10540 Lennox Lane, Dallas (asking price: $27 million)
The $27 million Preston Hollow estate comes with two holes, a controlled golf course complete with sand traps and water features.
The six-bedroom property is 17,201 square feet and includes three game rooms, two offices, a solarium, a golf simulator and two bedrooms. There are eight full bathrooms and four showers in the home.
The house has two pools and its own water well.
4. 3521 Sentinel Oak Road, Flower Mound (asking price: $24.15 million)
It’s all about the soil with this Flower Mound soil.
Woodbine Springs Ranch offers over 17 acres and stretches half a mile along Grapevine Lake in Murrell Park.
The property includes over 14,600 square feet of real estate including a large living area, garage, guest house and full storage.
There are over 20 miles of trails, several kayak launches and golf cart trails that connect to boat launches close to the water.
The house can be a hidden residence. But there are other options if the buyer feels interested, according to the listing. The house can become a boutique hotel or even a horse riding center.
5. 4307 Armstong Parkway, Highland Park (Asking price: $19.95 million)
This fully furnished Highland Park home has been on the market for over a month.
Built in 2017 by Dallas builder Rusty Goff, the home has four bedrooms, four bathrooms and three half baths. The 10,240-square-foot residence has a limestone exterior and terracotta roof.
The great room, complete with a fireplace, is the turning point of the house.
The backyard includes a pool, 512-square-foot cabana, fireplace, outdoor kitchen and putting green. And if that’s not enough golf, there’s an indoor golf simulator.
6. 1747 Leonard Suite 2601, Dallas (asking price: $17.5 million)
This unfinished condo is the most expensive high-rise in all of Dallas-Fort Worth.
The “Gallery Penthouse” covers the 26th floor of the Art Residences, and the elevator provides direct access to the 7,688-square-foot unit.
The condo has four bedrooms, four full bathrooms and two half-bathrooms. If you’re a lucky buyer, you’ll have floor-to-ceiling windows, a terrace from the great room and an unobstructed panoramic view of the Dallas skyline.
The building is expected to be completed in January 2025.
7. 1200 Rockgate Rd., Barton (asking price: $16.5 million)
There are many spacious rooms in this great house. These 72 acres in Barton, a Denton County town with a population of less than 2,000, hit the market more than six months ago.
The property has almost 6,000 square meters of living space. The main house has four bedrooms and five bathrooms. Amenities include a large petting zoo and an indoor horse park that can be converted into a playground.
8. 3917 Gillon Ave., Highland Park (Asking price: $16.495 million)
The newly constructed French Exchange building was completed this month, according to the listing. Attempts to contact the listing agent were not returned.
Small touches include iron doors, copper gutters and gas lanterns along the stone exterior and roof.
The first floor has a two-way fireplace and separate bath with attached steam shower. The property also includes a Hampton-style resort pool and spa for those summer activities you miss.
9. 10056 Gaywood Rd., Dallas (asking price: $15.9 million)
The new facility will sit on a 1.3-acre lot in Preston Hollow. The more than 11,000-square-foot home comes with small touches like white oak floors, custom cabinetry and curated marble and stone.
The six-bedroom, 10-bedroom villa has two terraces, a recreational pool, spa, steam bath, sauna, cold water and gym, according to the listing.
Construction is still going on. The building is expected to be complete within the next 15 months, said listing agent Michael Humphries and Allie Beth Allman.
10. 720 Hampel Rd, Palmer (asking price: $15.9 million)
Ellis County’s largest home rounded out the list.
Built in 2021, the nearly 33,000 square foot home has 16 bedrooms, 17 full bathrooms and two baths.
The building has an indoor basketball court, a six-person sauna and an indoor jacuzzi. The outdoor pool is advertised as “larger than Olympic size” with two bars and four jacuzzis.
The property also includes a 12-car garage, 150 solar panels with Tesla backup batteries and a 2,000-square-foot dog house. The dog house has marble walls, according to the listing.
